Cream Cheese Coffee Cake w/Cream Cheese filling
This is guests favorite (and mine)! Takes a little prep time but soooo worth it.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees, spray with pam a 13X9 baking pan. Bake 40 to 45 minutes.
Prepare 4 separate bowls and set a side:
Bowl One : Cream together FILLING
- 16 oz Cream Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg
Bowl Two: Blend together BATTER
- 3 Cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
Bowl Three: Cream together TO ADD TO BATTER
- 1/2 Cup Soft Butter
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 4 Eggs
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
BLEND into above:
- Add: 1 Cup Sour Cream
- Add: 1/2 Cup Milk
Bowl Four: TOPPING. Mix together. Set to side
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1/2 Cip Flour
- 6 Tablespoons SOFT Butter
Now you are ready to put all ingredients together. Mix together bowl 2 & 3 the batter adding half at a time. Spread half the mixture into baking pan. Add bowl ONE the filling. Spread evenly. Top with remaining batter mixture. Now you are ready to add bowl 4 the topping. Sprinkle over total pan.
Bake as directed above.
You can add powder sugar once cool if so desire.
